Students from Olmstead Elementary recently visited the Logan County High School FFA Greenhouse. While there, students were given an informational tour hosted by some of the LCHS-FFA members. During and following the tour, students were given the chance to ask questions of the tour leaders and share some of their own insights concerning gardening.

Each spring, the FFA grows and sells a collection of bedding flowers and vegetables, as well as an assortment of hanging flowers and ferns. Money raised helps fund future projects and scholarships.

This year, the greenhouse opened on April 10. It is open to the public for sales Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 – 1. Due to an unusually cool start to spring, it is anticipated to remain open into the month of May. The greenhouse is located behind the high school.

The LCHS-FFA is sponsored by Mr. Bryan Estes and Mr. Jay Campbell.
