First grader Logan Dodson markets his cooking to help Adairville students

Logan Dodson is in the first grade at Adairville School. He has enjoyed cooking and baking with his mother, Melissa Dodson, and grandmothers, Jane Dodson Vick and Elaine Grohovsky, since he was very young.

Last winter, Logan decided that when summer vacation came, he wanted to start his own bakery. So, when summer started, he and his grandmother baked once a week and sold his goodies to friends and family.

Because of his love of food and helping others, Logan decided that he wanted to donate the money to help fellow students at his school through the Backpack Program.

Logan raised $800 this summer to donate to Adairville’s FRYSC program, and he presented this donation to Adairville School¹s FRYSC coordinator, Danielle Violette.

Principal Kristina Rice says, “We are very proud of Logan for starting this initiative, and we are very appreciative for the money donated to our FRYSC Backpack Program.”

Logan has his own baking website at http://logandodsonsbakery.weebly.com/our-story.html
