The coaching staff has seen few changes, but the players have matured and moved on during the 17-year history of Logan County Lady Cougar Volleyball. Those former players are being invited to a special reunion in a couple of weeks that doubles as a fundraiser for the current team.

All Lady Cougar alumni are invited to be part of the Alumni Match on Saturday, Aug. 5, beginning at 5 p.m.

Registration to play in the game will be held this week, Tuesday through Friday. Those who plan to play should contact Assistant Coach James Imlay by this Friday.

Those alumni who play are asked to donate $5 per person for tickets. Alumni who want to be a part of the evening but don’t plan to play are also asked to chip in $5. All alumni who register will be recognized by name, whether they play or not. Tee shirts commemorating the occasion will be sold.

A finger food social for alumni and immediate family will be held after the game in the cafeteria. Lots of stories will be shared, Assistant Coach Rob Imlay says,

Tina Baker was the original coach of the team with Stephen Lyne and Rob Imlay as assistants. This will be Lyne’s seventh season as head coach.
