Middle schoolers named to all-star teams

Ten athletes, both male and female, from Russellville, Olmstead, and Auburn middle schools have been selected to participate in the 2015 Playmaker Basketball Academy Middle School All Star Game.

This this the first year for this event. Listed below you will find the list of athletes who will be participating, which will be played at Clarksville High School on Saturday, Feb. 28.

On Saturday, Feb. 21 all the participants will participate in a Media Day and practice session at Emmanuel Family Life Center in Clarksville, beginning at 11 a.m.

The girls game is scheduled to be played at 2 p.m. on the 28th with the boys game scheduled to follow at 3:30.

Playmaker Basketball Academy owner, Terry Boykin, is organizing the event, according to Russellville Lady Panther varsity coach Calvin Head.

The local participants are as follows:

Russellville Middle School: DeShala LeBlanc, Jacob Naylor, Elijah Kemp

Olmstead Middle School: Blayke Bingham, Carlie Alvis, Abi Lindsey, Tommy Krohn

 Auburn Middle School: Kelby Epley, Caden McKinnis, Sara Beth Hale
