RHS Athletic Procedures for Clash of the Cats Week 2020

RISD Athletics Guidance - General information 

All information is subject to change per RISD Board, Superintendent, Local Health Dept. and/or State Agency directives. 

 

Russellville Independent Schools is dedicated to providing our student-athletes the opportunity to participate in all athletic sports this year in the safest and healthiest way possible. We have developed some specific guidelines to ensure all athletic competition events are safe for all athletes and visitors. These guidelines have been developed by the local Health Department and state agency guidance.

 

Guidelines:

Spectator Entrance:

  • Tickets for all competitive events will be limited.
  • Each student athlete on the team roster will be provided a TBD number of tickets for each event.
  • The athlete must purchase these tickets inside the window of time allotted by the Athletic Director.
  • There will be NO:
    • Tailgating
    • Standing in general areas (all spectators will remain in general seating areas unless heading to and from the concessions stand / restrooms. 
    • Children permitted to be unsupervised at any time. All children must remain seated or in the general area of the family/car unit they arrived with. 
    • External food permitted to be brought into Athletic contests. 

 

Spectator Expectations at the Event:

  • All spectators will be required to have their temperature taken and answer a brief pre-screening questionnaire prior to entering the facility.
  • Family/Car units will be expected to sit together in groups.please maintain 6 foot social distancing with all other spectators.

 

Post-Event Expectations:

  • All spectators will be expected to leave the athletic facility immediately following the completion of the contest. 
  • Only family members will be permitted to wait in a socially distanced manner for athletes following a contest. 
  • No loitering will be allowed on school grounds.

 

By following these guidelines we are providing all of our student athletes, families, and community the best opportunity possible to enjoy a full season of athletics.  We truly appreciate your willingness to follow these guidelines and are eager to see our students compete.

Athletics Policies 

  • Masks will be worn at all times during games by all spectators.
  • All spectators entering the stadium/gym will have their temperature taken.
  • Social distancing will be enforced at all times. 
  • Soccer spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit in on the track.
  • All young children will be required to be accompanied by an adult at ALL times ~ children unsupervised will be asked to return to sitting with the adult they are in attendance with. 
  • Seating grouping will be based on family/car arrival units. You may sit closer than 6ft. with ONLY the people you arrive with.   

Logan Co. “Clash of the Cats” Football Game Info 

  • No tickets will be sold at the gate on Friday night. 
  • RHS will be given an allotment of tickets for our fans. 
  • There will be limited capacity at Logan Co.’s Stadium, as there will be at all Stadiums this Fall. 
  • RHS ticket sales will start with RHS Football player families, Cheer Families, and Band students. Ticket allotments for each of these groups will be VERY limited and each family will be offered a TBD number of available tickets to purchase. 
  • All remaining tickets will be offered through general sales in a pre-sale that will run on Wednesday (9/9) and Thursday (9/10) between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM through the RHS Front Office.  

Athletic Travel Information 

  • Students will be required to socially distance on the bus. 
  • Students will be required to wear a mask at ALL times while on the bus, regardless of social distancing. 
  • Parents of student-athletes who wish to transport their own child to and from athletic events this Fall may do so by completing the linked waiver.
  • This waiver must be submitted to the RHS Front Office in a hard copy and signed by the student-athlete parent/guardian PRIOR to transporting the child.
  • When using this waiver, it will apply to travel to AND from the game and one-way transportation will NOT be allowed unless approved by the AD.  
  • You may come by the RHS Front Office and obtain and fill out a printed copy.
