Saturday, Oct. 6, was a morning full of excitement for the annual Jesse James 5K Walk/Run. The number of entrants this year was well over 100! Racers of all ages weaved their way through Historic Russellville, following the 3.1-mile course.

Volunteers from the community, including Logan County High School Beta and JROTC, were on hand.

FirstPlace Male Runner John Hendricks was quick on his feet and followed by the rest of the runners. First Place Female Runner was Logan County High School sophomore Eliza Hagens. First Place Male Walker was Troy Fulcher and First Place Female Walker was Betty Jones.

Young runners were seen throughout the race and Megan Fulcher of Logan Memorial Hospital was seen walking in with her baby-on-board, due in just one week.

Thank you to all of the volunteers, Jenn Siebold from Russellville Parks & Rec, members of the Carpenter Center; and all the many others involved.

We look forward to an even bigger race next year!
