Russellville Blues is bringing top-notch entertainment to Russellville this summer. The 2011 Mary Ann Fisher Summer Concert Series will feature four free concerts, beginning June 11 and concluding on Sept.3. The lineup follows:

June 11 - Wanda Johnson
The Voice of South Carolina’s blues and soul comes to Russellville! She has performed at national blues festivals and completed three tours of Europe. Wanda’s beautiful and sultry voice will be complimented by one of the greatest harmonica players in the South, William Howse, and a great group of backup
singers.

July 2 - The Michael Gough Group
Kick off your Independence Day weekend with hometown favorite Michael Gough. A tight band that plays real blues and doesn’t miss! Recently featured on the KET program, “Kentucky Life” and a dedicated performer sure to give you his best.

August 5 - Tee Dee Young and Scandalous
Just voted as the King of Beale Street, Tee Dee and his band will entertain you from start to finish. They are known throughout Kentucky as one of the greatest party bands and will bring their best to Russellville to entertain you.

September 4 -Gospel Reunion Festival
The season finale, a tradition featuring youth and adult choirs and the region’s most respected gospel performers.

o A change has been made to the name of the organizing group. “We dropped "society" from the name. It's just Russellville Blues,” Gough explains. “Society sounds so cliquish.We would rather the focus be on our town instead of a small group of individuals. “We are expecting huge attendance records this year. Being our 4th season, surrounding communities are hearing more about us and the quality of entertainment that we are bringing in. We had a 2011 Grammy winner here last July in Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band. We think this year's line-up is top notch, as well.”
o The Platinum Presenting Sponsors are Bluegrass Cellular and Mutt’s Place. Event Sponsors are Wal-Mart, Logan Aluminum and Ventra Plastics. All events are held at the West Kentucky African American Heritage Museums at the corner of 6th and Morgan Streets in Russellville.
