Lewisburg School held graduation Friday, May 19, at 6 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Sixty eighth grade students were recognized as 2017 graduates.

The following students were recognized for outstanding achievement in academics: Brooklyn Haskins (Reading); Abigayle Hinton (Writing); Autumn Taylor (Science); Jayden Bowersock (Social Studies); and Ben Guffey (Math).

Faith Crafton and Jaxon Hendrix were presented the 110% Awards, and Faith Crafton and James Wheeler received the Citizenship Awards. The Middle School Academic Excellence Awards for  Science and Language Arts were awarded to Paige Thorpe, who earned the highest average in these core classes for all three middle school years, and the Middle School Academic Excellence Awards for Math and Social Studies were awarded to Abigayle Hinton, who earned the highest average in these core classes for all three middle school years.  

Abigayle Hinton received an award for maintaining the second-highest overall average throughout middle school, and Paige Thorpe received an award for maintaining the highest overall average throughout middle school.
