The state highway department plans for a short-term and long-term lane closure to be put in place in both directions on Interstate 65 near mile marker 30 in Warren County while crews prepare the area to begin work on a new interchange as part of the I-65 to U.S. 31-W connector project.

The short-term closure will take place overnight Wednesday, Aug. 3 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and overnight Thursday, Aug. 4 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews will close the inside lane next to the barrier wall and the center lane. That means I-65 will be down to one lane open in that area during that time for approximately a mile.

The long-term closure will begin Friday, Aug. 4 with the inside lane being closed in both directions for approximately a mile for an expected 60 days.
