Marching Cougars place in pair of shows, to host own show Saturday

The Logan County Marching Cougars had a busy marching day on Saturday, Sept.  19.  They performed at Butler County High School that afternoon, and received third place in Class 4A.  They performed that night at Russellville’s Show of Bands at Rhea Stadium, and received second place in Class 4A. They also received the Spirit Award for that event. 

The show is called “A Day at the Races” under the direction of David Dayton and Mandy Beasley. The band keeps striving Beasley to improve! 

The Logan County Marching Cougars will be hosting their home band show this Saturday, Sept. 26. The show will beginning at 3:45 with opening ceremonies. The first band will take the field at 4:15

The number of bands participating has been doubled to 16 across all five classes. 

Admission to the show will be $5, and concessions will be available.

The Russellville Marching Panthers will perform at 4:15 and the host Marching Cougars at approximately 9 p.m.

“Come out and support our Marching Cougars and all the other bands from our area. Lots of hard work will be on display that night, and it is good family friendly entertainment,” says publicity chair Carol Kimmel.
