Farmers Market, Nostalgia, Youth to be focuses of Logan Fair opener Saturday

The official opening of the 2025 Logan County Fair comes early Saturday morning when the Logan County Farmers’ Market starts under the pavilion behind the Extension Office at 7:30, as it will every Saturday morning through October.

An hour and a half later, what’s known as the “County Fair Kickoff” filled with nostalgia will begin its 9 a.m.-1 p.m. 4-H and Youth events will be held in the Extension Office and outside it.  They will have Cloverville, an exhibit hall, youth entrepreneurship displays, a frog jumping contest, Cupcake Wars and yard games.

Additionally, there will be Hanging with Heroes, a kiddie parade, a dunking booth, inflatables and food trucks.

Also the Quilt Show, exhibits, Business Expo, Vendor Fair and Antique Tractors will be on display.

Admission is free.

The Farmers’ Market will be open two more times during the fair next week, Tuesday from noon-4 p.m. and next Saturday from 7:30-noon.
