Greetings to our students, families, and community members who are all part of our Panther family.

Beginning on Wednesday, March 25, as part of our CRP (Coronavirus Response Plan), we are transitioning to Phase II, which will lessen the number of contacts for our adult team members while continuing to meet the needs of our stakeholders.

These are the main differences as we begin Phase II of our plan:

*Meal Delivery and pickup will continue to occur between 9:40 a.m.-12 noon on a new schedule of days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

*Meals will be delivered for multiple days at a time and pickups will work the same way:

Mondays - Meals distributed for both Monday and Tuesday

Wednesdays- Meals distributed for both Wednesday and Thursday

  Fridays- Meals distributed for Friday.

*Schools (front office areas only) and Central Office (355 S. Summer St.) will be open and staffed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

*All RISD buildings will be CLOSED all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

*RISD personnel will be available by phone Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.; if your phone call is not answered, please leave a message, and we will get back with you.

One major thing that will NOT change is that our NTI (Non Traditional Instruction) process will still be occurring daily through next Thursday, April 2.  Please understand that your child should be completing their March work by next week and that schools will be collecting that work either electronically or physically over the next few days as well as distributing the April work for your students.

Please remember that we will be celebrating our Spring Break from instruction for the days of April 3-April 10, but we will continue food delivery on those Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during that time.

To Adult Team Members,

I’ll start by saying once again how much I appreciate your response on behalf of our students to these unprecedented challenges and it warms my heart to see the persistence, ingenuity, and resilience evidenced by all of you.

We at Russellville Independent Schools are working to clean and sanitize all buildings in our district in a specific response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic). This will include all classrooms, restrooms, office areas, break rooms, hallways and playgrounds. We will be working to get this done over the coming weekend (March 28 & March 29) and throughout next week (March 30- April 2).

As areas are cleaned and sanitized, they will no longer be accessible to avoid possible contaminations. We would ask that if you need anything from your room, please get it before 4 p.m. on Friday, March 27 and be prepared NOT to enter your classroom again after that until further notice. Beginning Monday, March 30, there will be limited access to buildings on our campuses. The front office and teacher work rooms at our campuses (SES, 9th St., CO) will remain open for access on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from March 30 for the immediate future.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work diligently towards the goal of returning all student team members and adult team members to clean and sanitized facilities in our future.
