(July 26, 2010 - Russellville, Kentucky) Fresh from an appearance at last weekend’s HULLABALOU, in Louisville, THE JIMMY CHURCH BAND will perform Saturday July 31, at the Russellville National Guard Armory from 8-12.
This high energy band is one of the Mid-South's leading dance and show groups, consisting of a rhythm section, horn section, dazzling choreography, and the titillating voices of Honey and Spice.
The group travels throughout the U.S. and abroad performing for corporate parties, conventions, bar mitzvahs, wedding receptions, college and university sororities and fraternities, several Governor's Inaugural Balls, and numerous private parties. Their song list includes the sounds the Supremes, Four Tops, Temptations, Martha and the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Mary Wells, and Stevie Wonder. Other popular requests include:the Jackson Five, the Spinners, Commodores, Kool and the Gang, Earth, Wind, and Fire, the Drifters, and the Platters. The group's song list also includes popular songs from artists such as Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Roy Orbison, Jackie Wilson, Van Morrison, and many others.
