We have passed the midpoint of the quarter, and Thanksgiving break is around the corner. Students will be picking up their progress reports next week. Just a reminder that this information as well as student grades and behavior reports are accessible via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

School will only be in session Monday and Tuesday this week. We are thankful for our students and their families, and we hope that everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

Academic Team (from Mr. Harvey Harris)

Congratulations go out to Benjamin Meyer and Tanner Morrow for their success this year in our region. Out of 16 schools, Ben earned 5th in language arts and 5th in arts & humanities. Tanner was 1st in social studies and made the Honor Team comprised of members voted on by the coaches.

ACT

We have 51 students who have signed up to take the December ACT on their own. We are going to assist them in their preparation during Cats time when we return from Thanksgiving break.

Canned Food Drive (co-sponsored by FFA and FCCLA)

For the past 19 years, FCCLA & FFA, along with the entire LCHS student body, have teamed up to collect over 95,000 canned foods to be donated to the Good Samaritan and the Carrico Center.  These two local organizations provide food for Logan County families in need during the holiday season. We need help continuing this great tradition and making a difference in our community!  OUR LCHS GOAL IS 5,000 CANS! If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Joella Morrow, Mrs. Bridgett Hughes, Mr. Bryan Estes, or Mr. Jay Campbell.
