The SES K-KIDS kicked off their 3rd Annual Teddy Bear Round-up on Friday, March 10. Students will be collecting NEW Teddy Bears and NEW youth size fleece character throws to be donated to the Department of Child Protection and Permanency. These gifts will be given to children as a means of comfort and security while they are being removed from their homes.

The net is hung in the front entrance foyer of Stevenson Elementary and is open for all community members to donate to this very worthwhile cause. Items needed are youth size character throws and Teddy Bears/stuffed animals for the net collection.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to help SES K-KIDS collect these items through Friday, March 31.

“Please help us help a child feel better, help us help a child have something to hold on to when his or her world is turned upside down -- bring in a bear and/or a blanket and toss it in our net,” says Public Relations Director Penni Nugent.

If you cannot make it by Stevenson Elementary and would like to donate, please feel free to contact Carol Kees, Family Resource Coordinator, at the school, 270-726-4798, and she will make arrangements to pick up the donation. Mrs. Kees also expressed thanks to everyone who has already donated!
