Two events of significance will be held at the Logan County Extension Office next week.

On Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 9 a.m., Kentucky State Trooper Sgt. Morris will explain transportation regulations that affect farm producers and commercial agricultural businesses. He will talk about who needs a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or a Medical Card.

Then on Thursday, Feb. 9, from 9-11 a.m., a Beef Cattle Nutrition Workshop will be conducted by Kevin Laurent, an Extension senior associate in Animal & Food Sciences for the UK Research and Education Center. He will discuss the proper feed and feeding of beef cattle.

Limited space is available for the beef program. Reservations should be called in to the Extension Office at 270-726-6323 by Monday.

Contact Logan County Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent Leann Martin at that same number for more information.
