New superintendent spending time with students

Paul Mullins, the new superintendent of Logan County Schools, is getting back to the basics. While it is not unusual to see Mr. Mullins visiting the schools in the district, it is unusual to see a school Superintendent riding a school bus route!

Mullins decided to ride an entire bus route at each school to get a better idea of what students experience on a typical day. He is also planning to spend a whole day interacting with students and staff at each school to gain better insight into the culture and atmosphere of the district's six schools.

According to Mr. Mullins, "I want to stay in touch with our students and staff and never forget what it is like to be in their shoes. My plan as Superintendent is to be very visible and approachable to the students, staff and community. During my career, I have found there is no better way to spend a day than with being with students. They are the best!"
