Stevenson students served Soup with Seuss

n Tuesday, March 1, Stevenson Elementary hosted its 2nd Annual “Read Across America, Soup with Seuss” event.

The evening began at 5 p.m. as students and families signed in and received their rotation assignments and tickets to enjoy eating delicious vegetable soup prepared by the cafeteria staff.

Each family continued to participate at the eight teacher-planned-activity rotations from 5:30-6:30 p.m. These stations consisted of Family pictures; The Cat in the Hat; Green Eggs and Ham; Bingo; One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish; Oh the Places You will Go; Art Fun in the Art Room; and Music!

Many of the teachers, staff, and students were dressed in colors, patterns, or themes of Dr. Seuss. Each student received a free book as the evening ended.

Many positive comments were overheard amidst lots of laughter and fun!
