Logan FFA members shine at state

Earlier this month, 42 members of the Logan County FFA chapter attended the 96th Kentucky FFA State Convention. These members competed in a variety of contests, attended sessions, and participated in educational workshops.

Ashley McIntosh, Sadie Violette and Emily McIntosh became state champions, and 11 other members are state runners-up.

Here are the results:

Agriscience Fair:

Animal Science Category

Division 4- Jace Coles & Jaynes Campbell- 3rd = place

Division 5- Klay VanSickle- 2nd place

Division 6- Makayla Head & Kyleigh Smith- 2nd place

Environmental Science Category

Division 3- Lily Whitman- 2nd = place

Division 4- Weston Wright & Vincent Eaton- 2nd place

Food Products Category

Division 6- Kingsley Stratton & Kenzie Wright- 3rd place

Plant Systems Category

Division 3- Everett Halcomb- 2nd place

Division 4- Emily McIntosh & Lily Templeman- 3rd place

Ag Power Systems

Division 3- Isaac Robey- 3rd place

Division 4- Ashley McIntosh & Sadie Violette- 1st place

Division 5- Colt White- 3rd place

Division 6- Connor Thomas & Jonas Hayes- 2nd place
