Older Babe Ruth stars pound Warren County

Playing well on both offense and defense, the Logan County 14-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars crushed the home team, Warren County 14-0 Tuesday in their opening game of the district tournament.

Ethan Smock pitched the no-hit shutout, facing only two batters above the minimum in five impressive innings. He walked five batters, but three of them were erased on the base paths. He struck out 8 of the 17 batters he faced.

Jordan Blick tripled, piled up five RBIs, and scored three runs. Austin Rayno doubled, singled and drove in three runs. T.K. Hampton singled and added two RBIs. D.J. Beard got the other RBI and scored twice. Evan Humphrey singled and scored twice. Also scoring were Kaleb Justice, Ashton Ross, Jack Wright and Smock.
