RMS sixth grade Panthers capture district title to finish 15-0

The Russellville Middle School Boys 6th Grade basketball team delivered a dominant performance recently in Franklin, capturing the 6th Grade 13th District Middle School Basketball Tournament championship and completing an undefeated season.

Coached by Jae Allison, the Panthers opened tournament play in the semifinals against the Logan County Cougars and left little doubt from the opening tip. Russellville jumped out to a commanding 31–3 lead after the first quarter and extended the margin to 44–8 by halftime. The Panthers cruised to a 57–14 victory.

Jaemarious Allison led Russellville in the semifinals with 13 points, followed closely by Tyrese Browder with 12 points and Kyren Elliott with 11. Tre J. Daniel added 8 points, Nehemyah Hampton scored 6, Roman Morrow had 3, and both M.J. Bigbee and Jamarcus Clemons contributed 2 points each. Jeremiah Hickman also saw action in the win.

In the championship game, Russellville faced the Todd Central Middle School Rebels and again set the tone early. The Panthers built a 26–5 advantage after the first quarter and carried a 42–14 lead into halftime. Russellville continued its strong play throughout the second half, earning a convincing 71–22 victory to claim the district title.

Tyrese Browder led the Panthers in the finals with 21 points. Jaemarious Allison followed with 16 points, while M.J. Bigbee scored 10 and Jeremiah Hickman added 9. Nehemyah Hampton contributed 8 points, Kyren Elliott scored 4, Roman Morrow had 2, and Tre J. Daniel finished with 1 point. Jamarcus Clemons also played in the championship game.

With the tournament championship, the Russellville Panthers completed a perfect season, finishing 15–0. The district title and undefeated record highlight a remarkable year for the Panthers, marked by strong teamwork, balanced scoring, and disciplined play throughout the season.
