Beard, Hightower and Jefferson win top Super Preps awards

Recent Logan County High School graduates Samson Hightower and JayRon Jefferson along with Russellville High alum Grayson Beard were named as the top student athletes in their sports in this area June recently.

It was part of the KY Super Preps Awards ceremony presented by Med Center Health at Bowling Green Ball Park.

Honorees were nominated by their coaches for performance in their sport, grades, leadership and service to their community.

Hightower was selected as the overall Jewelry Barn and Pawn Shop Boys’ Basketball Student-Athlete of the Year, Jefferson the Andrew Hayes-Shelter Insurance Boys’ Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year, and Beard the McKay and Associates Boys’ Archery Student-Athlete of the Year.
