Just wanted to reach out and share news from the Logan County Athletics world.
Middle School Football – Tuesday night was an awesome night at the stadium. Our devoted 8th grade players were honored in front of a large crowd. Thank you 8th grade players for some great memories. Adairville Cheerleaders were wearing LCMS cheer uniforms and cheering their hearts out for our team.
Middle School Softball - Congratulations go out to these fine young ladies and coaches on winning the 13th District Middle School Softball Championship! Logan County won the district title Tuesday night by beating Todd County 12-2 and Franklin Simpson 8-0.
Boys Soccer - Our scrappy Cougars are the number one seed in the District Tournament, sporting a district record of 6-0 after defeating Franklin-Simpson at their place Tuesday night. Way to go players and coaches!
Girls Soccer - Our fantastic Lady Cougars are also the number one seed in the tournament, sporting a district 6-0 record after their 6-1 win Tuesday night over Franklin-Simpson. Congrats girls....keep it going!
Cross Country - is gearing up for Regionals the last weekend of the month and has seen participation numbers increase this year.
Golf - Both teams will be playing in regional play starting next Monday. Girls play Monday and the boys on Tuesday. Good luck. players and coaches!
Cheerleaders - These girls and coaches have been working hard to perfect their performances, in preparation for the upcoming KHSAA regional competition. Go cheerleaders!!
Football - Our Cougars are currently 5-0 on the season and are ranked 6th in the 4A State Rankings. The Cougars will travel to Madisonville North Hopkins this Friday for a clash of two teams ranked high. Both teams sport perfect 5-0 records.
Volleyball - Our volleyball team sits as one of the elite teams in our region. They won Tuesday night at Franklin and are currently 18-1 on the year. The only loss coming at the hands of Greenwood. These ladies and their coaches are putting on a show, best start in school history.
Congratulations to all of our teams. We wish those still playing, a great rest of the season and post-season!
