Adairville said goodbye on Tuesday, May 16, to a wonderful group of young men and women. Parents, family, friends and community members filled the gym to watch the march of this year's class graduate. The graduates were given their diplomas by Board Representative and Adairville native Kenneth Robertson as well as Superintendent Paul Mulliins.
The Invocation was given by Mason Freeman, followed by the Pledge of the Allegiance led by Paige Hailey, and the crowd was treated to speeches by Salutatorian Katelynn Hallums and Valedictorian Emma Prince.
A video presentation showed photos of each graduate as well as many pictures submitted by family and faculty that tracked this special group through their years at Adairville.
Following the video, the Jessie L. Richards Memorial Scholarship, an award given in honor of the longtime Principal of Adairville, was awarded to Hannah Lawrence, a graduate of Logan County High School this year. The Benediction was given by Carleigh Smith with Principal Kristina Rice handing the closing remarks.
The school, community, friends and family look forward with great hope and pride as these graduates take this next step in their education as Logan County High School Cougars, but as Mrs. Rice reminded them, they will always have a home at Adairville and they will always be Cardinals!
