Community Ed plans dance, Spanish classes

The first two Community Education classes being offered this fall in Russellville/Logan County feature dance and foreign language.

Learn some dance styles such as: “Salsa”, “Waltz”, “Line Dancing”, and “Swing Dancing”!!

This six-week program may be just for you! Classes will be held at Logan County Extension Office at 6 p.m., beginning Monday, Sept. 14, and each Monday thereafter until Oct. 19. The cost will be $60 per person or $100 per couple for the entire 6 weeks!

The instructor is Kelly Lewis, choreographer with the summer musical “Beauty and the Beast” and instructor at Logan County Gymnastics.

Basic Spanish

Learn to speak the Spanish language in nine weeks! This nine-week program will assist you in learning the basics of conversational Spanish. Sessions will begin Tuesday, Oct. 13, and end Tuesday, Dec. 8. Classes will be held at Russellville High School, in Room 2, from 4—5 p.m.

The instructor is Griselda Vargas, the bilingual tutor with Russellville Board of Education. The cost will be $90 for 9 weeks!

Sessions will include the sounds of Spanish, the alphabet, words you should know, numbers, telling time in Spanish, common phrases, key expressions and important vocabulary words.
