I want to take this opportunity to recognize our RHS juniors and the efforts that they put into our state ACT test this past Tuesday.  All students worked diligently, applied themselves and took this event very seriously.  I am so proud of the effort that they put into to this assessment.  I look forward to the opportunities and doors that will be available to them as a result of this.  There will be a make-up day on March 17 for anyone who was absent on that day.Mrs. (Nicole) Osborne will be contacting those requiring a makeup session.

Our Panther basketball team ended their season last night with a loss to the Monroe Co. Falcons in the first round of the 4th Region Tournament.  If you did not attend the game, you missed a great game and a great Panther effort against one of the best teams in our region.  I am certain they didn't bargain on the test they got from our Panthers.  A huge thanks to Coach (Phil) Todd, his staff and players on an exciting season.  Good Luck to our seniors as they prepare for life beyond high school!  We look forward to what this team can continue to bring to the 4th region basketball tournament next year!

As we finish up our basketball season, this week marks the beginning of our baseball and softball seasons.  We look forward to our new head coach, Blake Crabtree and his staff, as well as returning softball coach, Brandy Trimble, beginning their programs this week! Good luck to both our baseball and softball teams as they prepare for their seasons!!

We are excited to announce that we will have a middle school baseball team this year, as well.  Their season will begin next week on Monday.

The RHS Softball team will plan to have their annual “field day” this Saturday with parents and family members helping to clean out concession stand, dugouts and hang signs/prepare field for play.  Practice will be held from 10-noon with a potluck held afterwards for players and family members.  Please contact Coach Trimble for more details!

The RHS Archery team will travel this week to the state tournament in Louisville on Wednesday!! Good luck to Coach Jennifer Clark and our Shooting Panthers!!

Members of the RHS Academic Team and Coach Jennifer Rogers will also be traveling to Louisville this week for the State Governor’s Cup Tournament.  The group will leave on Saturday and return on Monday.
