Russellville holds Veterans Day Celebration

A Veterans Day Celebration was held at the Historic Logan County Courthouse Friday, sponsored by the City of Russellville.

City employee Wayne Thomas was the master of ceremonies. He introduced the Fort Campbell Color Guard, which presented colors, and the All County Youth Choir, who sang “My Old Kentucky Home” and the National Anthem. City employee Kenny Gregory played and sang “Stars & Stripes.”

Others on the program included:

*Jeff Latham and Judge-Executive Logan Chick, who led prayers

*Jailer Phil Gregory, who led the Pledge of Allegiance

1st Sgt. Wesley Townsend, who was the speaker

Timothy Baur, who announced the Recognition of Branches of Services

And State Rep. Jason Petrie, who made closing remarks.
