The National Day of Prayer Service was at the Old Russellville Courthouse May 2 at noon. It was organized by Logan County Ministerial Association Pastors Gene Bracken and Joe Ball.
Their theme was “Love One Another” from John 13:34.
Alex Watkins from New Friendship Baptist led singing. Eight different individuals prayed for "centers of influence; these were government, media, military, family, business, church, education, and EMT/Police.
Among those who prayed was Russellville Mayor Mark Stratton, who led a spirited prayer for our governmental leaders. There were maybe 45-50 individuals there, and it seemed as if there was a good spirit of unity there to pray.
