The National FFA organization creates a positive influence in high school students. Whether they come from an agricultural background or not, students succeed through premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.
In Logan County 73 percent of those who purchased farm vehicle license plates donated $10 to the Ag Tag program. The money raised goes to local FFA chapters, 4-H, Agriculture Achiever Grant, and leadership training for the state officers.
The Logan County FFA Chapter works to further the members’ opportunities to learn. The Agriculture Achiever Grant is to provide funding to increase local projects. This year the Logan County High School FFA applied for the grant so members can have the opportunity to learn about aquaculture. The state officers of Kentucky have 14,000 members they impact over the year.
Sheldon McKinney from the Kentucky FFA Foundation says, “I am grateful to each and every individual who made a donation. These funds will help our industry grow and prosper.”
