LCHS DECA competes at Region 2 Conference

The Logan County High School chapter of DECA traveled to Western Kentucky University on Feb. 5, to compete in their Region 2 Conference. In addition to receiving an award for Third Largest Club Membership, students competed as individuals and teams in a collection of competitions.

At the conference, the following club members qualified for the upcoming state conference in Louisville:

1st - Chloe Watkins - Business Services Marketing, 1st - Madison Kempf - KY Finance, 1st - Evan Dana - KY Hospitality & Tourism Essentials;

2nd - Cole Crawford* - Professional Selling, 2nd - Jenna Coles - Restaurant and Food Service Management, 2nd - Autumn Taylor & Hope Moore - Marketing Management Team Decision Making, 2nd - Cole Baker & Cade Johnson - Sports and Entertainment Marketing Team Decision Making, 2nd - Caitlyn Mosley - KY Marketing, 2nd - CJ Raymer - Personal Financial Literacy;

3rd - Chelsea Siegers - Principles of Hospitality, 3rd - Skyler Ezell & Jax Shrull - Hospitality Services Team Decision Making;

4th - Jenna Robertson – Entrepreneurship, 4th - Promise Wilhite & Rihanna Mathews - Entrepreneurship Team Decision Making;

5th - Mckenzie Kempf - Hotel and Lodging Management, 5th - Hailey Collins & Lindsey Mallott - Hospitality Services Team Decision Making.

*Cole is currently an 8th grader at Auburn.
