What is expected to be a beautiful spring day in South Logan Saturday will welcome the legendary Strawberry Festival to Adairville for its annual run, which will last eight days.
Taste of Adairville will get the Festival goers’ appetites satisfied today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Living Word Church. It’s presented by Adairville Community Big Fish. Tickets are $10 each. Funds will go to helping community members during the December holiday season,
“Come join us for some delicious Southern casseroles made by our own Adairville Community members,” organizers say.
Also going on from noon to 2 p.m. is a quilt show.
The Festival’s Auto & Tractor Show is the third event of the day. Tractors, cars and trucks will surround the downtown park from 12-3 p.m. Those exhibiting a vehicle will pay an entry fee but those who would like to see the exhibits are welcome.
The theme for the show is “Adairville Celebrates America 250.”
Many of the exhibitors in the show will move on to Russellville for one of the Clay Bilyeu-led Cruise In’s this evening.
The last event in Adairville Saturday is Worship on The Square that begins at 4:30, a live Christian concert featuring well known gospel singer Steve Ladd. Also scheduled to perform are The Good News Edition and Mike Stacey, Melissa Logsdon, Joel Armistead, Troy Birdwell and the Living Word Church Worship Team.They will be accompanied by pianist Cherolyn Stacet and bass guitarist Mike Vaught.
