Maxine Owens, 75, of Russellville, died on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville. She was born Friday, March 12, 1943 in Kimmswick, Mo., the daughter of the late Willie Close and the late Anna Nash Benz. She was the wife of Bill (Junior) Owens, who survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church in Russellville.
Also surviving are her sons, William Alan Owens of Taylorsville and Joshua Thomas Owens of Russellville; her brother, Billy Close of Hermann, Mo.; his sisters—all from Missouri, Jeanette Strosnider of Bourbon, Lavada Sanders of Hermann, Connie Young of Saint James, Susan Czeschin of Eldon, Sharon Myers of Hermann, Judy Fritzmeyer of Owensville, and Sandy Lackman of Hermann.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, with Dr. Ron Wells officiating. Interment will be in Lewisburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, at Price Funeral Home.
