Aubrey D. Young, 82 of Elizabethtown, died Oct. 17, 2018.
He was born November 9, 1935 in Logan County to the late Wilbur D. and Ora Vivian Arnold Young.
Aubrey graduated from Bowling Green Business University and has been a Certified Public Accountant first in Louisville and then in Elizabethtown since 1964. He was a Baptist by faith and served on numerous business and civic boards. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle and loyal friend.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Young Hovious, and brother-in-law, Doug Hovious, of Bowling Green.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Jo Williams Young; his sons, Michael Dennis Young and Mary Gay of Elizabethtown and Ralph Steven Young and Kim of Omaha, Neb.; his granddaughter, Hannah Watrous Young of Charleston, S. C.; his grandson, Harris Overall Young and Natalie of Lexington; and numerous nieces, nephews and several cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. (EST) Monday, Oct. 22, at Dixon-Atwood & Trowbridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. (EST) in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville.
