Buddy White, 84, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born Aug. 9, 1934 to the late Claude White and Biddie Scott White. He was a supervisor for Rockwell and was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel Church, a Kentucky Colonel and member of the American Legion Post 29. He was a Panther Sports enthusiast and served on the planning committee for Bro. Joe’s Family Christmas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wallyne Harton White.He is survived by his sons, Patrick White and wife Tracy of Russellville and Paul White and wife Micele of Allensville; his daughter, Jill White Steward and husband Todd of Bowling Green; his sister, Beryle Key of Guthrie; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Buddy White will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Maple Grove Cemetery with John Cates officiating. Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m. There will be no public visitation Saturday morning at the funeral home before the graveside service.
Memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Chapel Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and graveside.
