Joyce Middleton Gregory, 73, of Friendship Road, Auburn, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 at her home. She was a Robertson County, Tenn. native born January 26, 1944 to the late Richard Lee Middleton and Delma Sharp Middleton Utley.
She was an honors graduate of Western Kentucky University and Mid Continent University, a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Golden Key International Honor Society, Networking Women of Bowling Green, American Legion Auxiliary and WKU’s Women in Transition and a member of Middleton Baptist Church. She was a retired Human Resources recruiter for Magna International, former manager for Hamilton-Ryker and former office/personnel manager for VF Imagewear West.
She is survived by her mother ~ Delma Utley ~ California; her husband ~ Ferrell R. Gregory; her son ~ John C. ‘Jay’ Morgan Jr. and wife Norrie ~ Hopkinsville; her step-sons ~ Jason Gregory ~ Auburn and Justin Lee Gregory ~ Bowling Green; her brother ~ Stephen Middleton ~ California; her grandchildren ~ Jenna Griffith ~ Russellville, and Brandon Morgan, Tyler Morgan and Paige Morgan Scott and husband Dan ~ all of Hopkinsville; and her great-grandchildren ~ Chloe Morgan ~ Kaedan, Kylie Mae and John Tyler Morgan ~ all of Hopkinsville, and Kennedy Griffith ~ Russellville; and her special West Terrier ~ Angel.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Percy and Gertrude Hughes Sharp; paternal grandparents, Saint and Hellene Sanford Middleton; brother, Robert Middleton and twin sons, Michael Christopher and Mark Stephen Morgan.
Funeral services for Joyce Middleton Gregory will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Wes Stone officiating with burial to follow in Sulphur Spring Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Monday, Feb. 27, from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 1 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Middleton Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
