Dona Belle Wood, 101, of Penrod, died on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Diversicare of Greenville in Greenville, Kentucky. She was born Thursday, Feb. 18, 1915 in Lewisburg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Isaac McIntosh and the late Annie Moore McIntosh. She was the wife of the late Homer Wood.
She worked the assembly line for General Electric.
She had been a member of Penrod Baptist Church since 1932, member of UMW for 21 years, secretary of Vacation Bible School for 42 years, and secretary of Church Training Union from 1952-2009.
Surviving are her son, Harold McIntosh - Sonja of Dunmor; her sister, Nadine Costellow, of Lewisburg; 7 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and 41 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Penrod Baptist Church. Interment will be in Penrod Baptist Church Cemetery, Penrod.
The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. on Monday, May 9, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg. There will also be visitation from 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, at Penrod Baptist Church.
