Nellie (Granny) Irene Christie, 89, of Dunmor, died on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.
She was born Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1926, the daughter of the late Isaac McIntosh and the late Annie Moore McIntosh. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Christie.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Moriah Church of Christ.
Surviving are her son, Mark Christie of Dunmor; her daughter, Faye Woodlee of Dunmor; her sisters, Nadine Costellow of Lewisburg and Dona Belle Wood of Dunmor; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren 12 great-great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Mike McIntosh of Dunmor, and several other nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her son, Kenny Christie, and a grandson, Steven Trent Christie.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Church of Christ Cemetery, Muhlenberg County.
The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24, at Price Funeral Home.
