Peggy Shelton, 68, of Auburn, passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 4, 2026,surrounded by family during the most beautiful sunset. She was born on May 17, 1958 in Logan County, to the late Lucille and Paul Woodward.

Peggy was a loving mother, wife, memaw, sister, and friend who loved family, camping, riding golf carts, and traveling. She will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, strength, generosity, and love for her grandkids. She was always down to boogie and for an adventure.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Paul Woodward; her husband, Ronnie Shelton (Boo Boo); her brother, Paul David Woodwardl; and her sister, Alice Faye Woodward.

She is survived by her daughters, Brandy Shelton of Russellville, Tammy Bilyeu (Thomas) of Auburn, Amber Anderson (William) of Lewisburg,and Nikki White (Robert) of Russellville; her grandchildren, Kaylik Bilyeu, Cheyenne Jenkins (Taylor), Harley Anderson, Alyssa White, Lucas White, and Isabella Anderson; her great-grandchild, Kayden Jenkins; her sisters, Barbara Duncan (Kenneth) of Morgantown, and Patricia Lashley and Brenda Powell both of Russellville; her brothers, Ray Woodward, Lewis Woodward (Robyn), Donnie Woodward, and Stevie Woodward (Renea), all of Russellville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Shannon Bailey and Lewis Woodward officiating services at 1pm with burial to follow in Chandlers Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Chandlers Chapel Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Thomas Bilyeu, William Anderson, Robert White, Shea Woodward, Donnie Woodward, & Stevie Woodward.  Honorary pallbearers are Lucas White, Kaylik Bilyeu and Lewis Woodward.

Mama (Peggy, Ms. Peggy, Memaw, Ms. Piggy, Maw, Chicken Legs, and Monkey Toes) will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
