Lorri Jennette Chick was born on May 19, 1966 to parents James Lawrence Jennette and Elizabeth Gwynn (Gibson) Jennette. Lorri entered into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Sept. 4, 2026 at UT Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Sammy Chick; her daughter, Megan Chick; her son. Zachary Chick, her daughter's fiancé (Bradley) and his daughters, Adaleigh and Kayleigh, whom she dearly loved like granddaughters; and her brother, Timothy Jennette (Mary Jo).
She also leaves behind her aunt, Yvonne Beard of Knob Lick, Kyl; her uncle, Leon Smith of Louisville; her special sisters in law, Mary Bailey (Sonny), Susie Chesnut (Alex) and Jackie Andrews (Danny); 12 much-loved nieces and nephews, numerous more great-nieces and nephews, cousins in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky and many treasured friends.
Waiting to welcome her were her grandparents. JW Jennette and Nell Jennette; her grandparents, Dora Gibson and Eugene Gibson; her mother, Elizabeth Jennette; her father. James Jennette and Verna Lee Jennette (stepmother); and her in-laws, Louise and Jack Chick.
She was a woman with a lending ear and soft heart to all lucky enough to know her. Never judgmental, never critical. She had a loving heart that made those around her better people just by simply knowing her. Lorri had a gift and great love for children, many of whom she loved as her own, as well as a special love for children with special needs and their families. She and Sammy have served many families in Louisville, Bowling Green and Knoxville, since 2004.
