Velma Jean Shader Heltsley, 94, of Sharon Grove, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the home of her daughter in Huntsville, Ala. She was born Friday, March 4, 1932, the daughter of the late John Harrison Shader and the late Cora Pursley Shader.
Velma was a store manager for the America Bread Company and she was also a member of the Sharon Grove Church of Christ.
Surviving are two daughters, Doris Ann Heltsley of Fernley, Nev. and Marilyn Gail (Bill) Bethune of Alabama; and her sister, Carolyn Perkins of Erlanger. Ky.
In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by her sister, Oma Nell Bertram, as well as brothers, David E. Shader and George W. Shader.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, at Elk Lick Cemetery, located at Greenridge-Spa Road, Lewisburg with Danny Williams officiating.
