Damien Gabriel Joseph Karpinski, 75, of Bowling Green. passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was born on Feb. 27, 1951, in Hamtramck, Mich. to the late Leonard and Leocadia Karpinski and was preceded in death his sister Darlene Czop and his brother, Harvey (Mary) Karpinski.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Lynn Karpinski of Bowling Green; his daughter, Karen Karpinski Varner (Jeremy) of Bowling Green; his son, Steven Karpinski (Flor de María) of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; his grandchildren, Nathan Karpinski, Noah Karpinski and Griffen Varner,; his brother-in-law, Joseph Czop of St. Clair Shores, Miich.; and several loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and siblings-in-law.
Damien was dedicated to his faith at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, an avid member of the Bowling Green Assembly Corvette Club, loved drag racing at Beech Bend Raceway Park, enjoyed car shows, streetrodding, and above all loved spending time with his family.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 10, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Bowling Green from 10 a.m. to noon with Father Randy Howard and Father John Paul Mang officiating funeral mass at 12 p.m. with cremation to follow.
