Patty Sue Porter, 88, of Dunmor, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville, Kentucky. She was born Sunday, April 25, 1937, the daughter of the late John Thomas Arnold and the late Tillie McMillen Arnold. She was the wife of J.P. Porter of Penrod, who survives.
Patty spent many years as an owner of the Patty and Julie Restaurant in Beechmont. She was also a member of Penrod Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband. surviving are her sons, Johnathan (Dana) Porter of Beechmont and Jeremy (Martha) Porter of Franklin; her granddaughters, Brianne (Jacob) Fortney of Beechmont and Kamryn (Justin) Stuart of Russellville; her grandsons, Matt Porter of Evansville, Broc (Rebecca) Porter of Bowling Green, Logan Porter of Auburn; her daughter-in-law, Pam Porter of Evansville; her four great-granddaughters, Raelyn Fortney of Beechmont, Adalyn Fortney of Beechmont, Anna Grace Porter of Bowling Green, and Evelynn Stuart of Russellville; and her great-grandson, Hayden Porter of Bowling Green.
Patty was preceded in death by her son, Greg Porter; her sisters, Oleta Latham, Ava Nell Woodlee and Betty Long; and her brothers, T. Arnold, Paul Arnold and Neal Arnold.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Penrod Baptist Church, located at 778 KY-949 Dunmor, KY with Bro. Steve Rutherford officiating. Interment will be in Penrod Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
