Cremation Chosen

JJ Stewart passed away on Jan. 21, 2026. He slipped away peacefully while surrounded by his family and loved ones. He battled hard this past year as many are aware. He was a fighter. He was truly loved and supported by so many people, even those he had never met.

He is survived in death by his wife of 32 years, Tara Natasha Stewart; his sons, Ethan Stewart and Gage Stewart; his mother, Peggy Bridges; and his sisters, Christy Gibbs (Johnny) and Mary Jo Maley (Nick).

He loved customizing cars over many years whether it was chopping the top off a car to putting hydraulics under a ‘63 Lincoln Continental (which was his current project car). He loved his loud stereos, working out, playing sports, and being active with their boys and friends.

He worked 15 years at Logan Aluminum for Fluor, going “above and beyond” on his fun projects such as the rocket for the last parade, and he met some amazing people there that he truly held dear.

He had strong beliefs that he will one day be resurrected to a paradise where there will be no more sickness, death, mourning nor pain where he hoped to be reunited with his family when it is God’s will.

Cremation was entrusted to Kirby Funeral Services Russellville and there will be a family gathering held. In lieu of flowers we ask that you think of JJ with fondness when you next do something fun.

Online register book can be found at www.kirbyfuneralservices.com.
