Paul Lee Hines, 99, of Olmstead, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville. He was born in Olmstead on Aug. 23, 1926, to the late Maurice Daniel Hines and Nellie Cunningham Hines. He was a farmer and member of Bethany Church of Christ. He loved to play checkers and was an avid bird hunter. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vinie Sears Hines.
He is survived by his stepson, Darrell Dodson of Olmstead; his stepdaughter, Joan Dodson of Murfreesboro; his grandchildren, Amanda Bohannon and Sean Snell; his great-grandchildren, Aubrey Bohannon and John Bohannonl his nephews, Danny Hines and wife Sue and Larry Houchin, all of Olmstead; his nieces, Mary Frances Powell and husband Wilbur of Russellville, Judy Houchin of Russellville, Diane Brown of Clarksville, and Karen McCarter and husband Ricky of Lewisburg. and
Funeral services for Paul Lee Hines will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Harris Dockins officiating with burial to follow in Belmont Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 20, will be held from 2-4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
