John Ethan Holder, 14, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Bowling Green on Aug. 23, 2010 to John Randal Holder and Londa Nacole Williamson Holder. He was a member of Woodburn Baptist Church. He was a student at Logan County High School where he was active in the Academic Team, JROTC and Archery.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Goldie Barton, Billie Inman and Lonnie Williamson Sr.; and his paternal great-grandparents, J.L. Williamson, Alfred Holder and Don Webb and Donnie Smith.
He is survived by: his parents, John Randal and Londa Nacole Holder; his maternal grandparents Carla Phipps and Lonnie “Peanut” and Angie Williamson, all of Barbourville; his paternal great-grandfathers, Ray Phipps and David Barton, both of Barbourville; his paternal grandparents, Randy and Beverly Holder of Adairville; his paternal great-grandmothers, Nancy Webb and Minnie Holder, both of Russellville; his brother, Karter Holder; and his sister, Emma Holder.
Funeral services for John Ethan Holder will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Phipps officiating with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation Saturday at the funeral home will be held from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
