Mike Haynes, 69, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., formerly of Olmstead, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at The Gardens at Providence Place in Mt. Juliet. He was born in Milan, Tenn. on Aug 6, 1955 to the late James David Haynes and Betty Jean Dabbs. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Freed Hardeman College and a Master of Science and Rank 1 from Western Kentucky University. He was an educator with the Logan County and Robertson County School Systems and was a member of the Mt. Juliet Church of Christ.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pam Haynes, and a niece, Faith Alexis Wade.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Teresa Haynes; his sons, Chris Haynes and wife Melissa of Lebanon, Tenn. and Clint Haynes and wife Lacie of Mt Juliet; his daughter, Stephanie Haynes Nabors and husband Chris of Nashville; his sister, Vivian Haynes of Hendersonville; and six grandchildren.

A Celebration of life for Mike Haynes will be conducted at noon on Friday, July 11, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Harris Dockins and Bro. Craig Evans officiating with interment to follow in the Greenwood cemetery in Adairville.

Visitation with the Haynes family will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to AGAPE at 4555 Trousdale Dr., Nashville, TN 37204. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
