Bobby Rolley, a Kentucky Master Logger and lifelong resident of Muhlenburg County, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024 at The Heartford Hospice House after a year-long battle with ALS. Bobby was of Baptist faith and believed he would be called home when it was his time.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debbie; his son, Danny Rolley of Greenville; his daughter Christy (Dustin) Miller of Central City, KY and daughter Brittany (Ashley) Gunn of Evansville; his grandchildren, Audrey (Matthew) Kramer, Jaxon Jarvis, Danton Rolley, Lillyan Armstead and Lanen Miller. Siblings include Rickie (Jeannie) Rolley, Alton (Catherine) Rolley, Mike (Brenda) Rolley, Timmy (Tracy) Rolley, Teresa Lear, Sherry (William) Scott; and his many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, Lloyd and Ruby Rolley; his baby sister, Rolley; and his mother- and father-in-law, Tony and Barbara Scott.
Bobby was born on Aug. 5, 1955 to the late Lloyd and the late Ruby Rolley. Bobby wed his sweetheart, Debbie, on Aug. 19, 1980.
Bobby was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather (to many), brother, and friend. Bobby was a certified Master logger who took pride in his lifelong passion of logging (passed down from his daddy). He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gun (and junk) collector, wheel and dealer. Bobby loved life and loved his wife, kids, grandkids and his dogs more than anything. He was a loyal, honest, hard-working man who would help out anyone in need, at any time. He will be deeply missed by anyone who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg with Bro. Curtis McGehee officiating. Interment will be in Lee Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc.
