Kenneth “Steve” Saunders, 67, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Russellville, the son of the late Kenneth Saunders and Zola Ann (Bell) Saunders.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Phyllis (Barger) Saunders; his sons, Jonathan Saunders (Holly) and Kyle Saunders (Amanda), all of Russellville; his brother, Mark Saunders (Lana) of Hopkinsville; and his grandchildren, (‘Pappy’ to) Carlie, Abby, Riley, Aerial, Kaliegh, Mason, Natalie, Wyatt, and Zoland.
Steve was an “Army Brat,” growing up living all over and continuing with his service in the Army. He loved his family and grandchildren along with his love for fishing. He was a teamster with Local 480, history buff, and lover of riding motorcycles.
Steve’s wishes were to be cremated and a service with burial at Ky Veterans West Cemetery will take place at a later date.
