Robert Louis Wright, 81, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Russellville on Feb. 27, 1942 to the late John William Wright and Beatrice Morgan Wright. He worked at Emerson Electric in die casting and was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. He was also a co-owner of Robert and Jean Estate Sales. He loved woodworking and was an avid outdoors man.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jean Wright; his son, Mike Shannon and wife Berta of Athens, Tenn.; his daughters, Lois Dykeman of Olmstead and Lisa Richardson and husband Jeremy of Gordonsville; his brothers, Raymond Wright and wife Evonne of Gordonsville and Henry Wright of Russellville; his sister, Christine Scott of Russellville; his eight grandchildren, Hailey Shannon, Austin Shannon and wife Meghan, Jamey Roberts and wife Camara, Kevin Dykeman and wife Izzy, Aaron Dykeman and wife Amber, Kyle Richardson and wife, Jess, Matt Richardson and April Murphy; and his 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Robert Louis Wright will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, at Summers and Son Funeral Home. There will be no visitation before the service.
