Bobby Allen, 83, of Schochoh, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born on July 6, 1940 to the late J.W. Allen and Mary Elizabeth Turner Allen. He was a farmer, member of the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ and a member of the Good Samaritan Board.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Martin Allen, and his brothers, Billy Allen and Willard Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Christine Moore Allen; his son, Bob Allen and wife Melissa of Schochoh; his stepsons, Mitchell Slaughters and wife Jennifer of Lewisburg and Robbie Slaughter and wife Tammy of Elkton; and his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bobby Allen will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Crittenden Drive Church of Christ with Bro. Harris Dockins and Bro. Wilbur Powell officiating with burial to follow in Whippoorwill Baptist Church Cemetery in Schochoh. Visitation at Summers and Son Funeral Home will be held Friday, Dec. 15, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday at the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
